Default machine washable ribbon clips?

Bugalug (a canadian hairclip company) makes ribbon hairclips using American Crafts printed ribbon--look the same as any HOWEVER they advertise that they are machine washable!!! I bought a couple and they are fantastic but I can't figure out what they used...I don't know if it's that fusible webbing or what--definitely NO GLUE or anything like that. Also seems to stabilize the clip more..you can't tell that there's a single prong clip in there etc. They also use a different kind of no-slip grip than any I've seen....maybe silicon??
Does anyone have any ideas?? I'd LOVE to make my daughter's clips washable....

I haven't tried to wash our bows but my dd did wear a pair to the water park and they looked perfect after all day of swimming and water slides!

Red face Re: machine washable ribbon clips?

i bought one, she claims not to use glue. but what she does use smells, chemical like, I don't like that. As for the no-slip grip it is fantastic! It is silicone like. does not slip at all. Not sure what she uses for adhesive , but it feels rubbery/silicone like.

my glued clips have found their way to the washer/dryer and lived

Has anyone ever tried a fusible web instead of glue? (wondering if that might work...it's meant to be washed?) Also..any thoughts on the silicone sheets--where those might be found?
