I'm wondering if you can make a woven headband using the smaller plastic headbands like 1/2 inch or 1/4 inch. I think I've been using 3/4 but want to buy some smaller ones. Will it work?

1/4? wow, that's REALLY small..lol...Maybe you can: using 1/8 ribbons??? Don't hurt to try.

Hehe... I just looked at a ruler and saw exactly how small 1/4 is. LOL Needless to say, I always failed my math classes. Maybe the 1/8 would work! I didn't think about the smaller ribbons. Thanks for the reply!

you can make them w/ the 3/8" or 1/4" headbands using 1/4" ribbon
here is a pic - the pink and white one - I showed it w/ a 1/2" and some 1" headbands for reference
I like to use satin ribbon on these too - they are cute on little girls

I'm glad you asked this question. I've been wanting to try this out on tiny headbands for dd.

I like using smaller hb. I think they look cuter and also like to mix satin prints with solid grosgrain. Satin makes the hd pop!!!

ebd1550, I like the way you display your hb in the paper roll.

Thanks for the pics ebd1550 I just recieved some of the thin headbands and was wondering about trying the 1/4" ribbon on them. They look super cute Love the satin stitched one too think it is my fave.

I bet it would take FOREVER using the 1/4 ribbon, but I'm sure it would work. Let us know how it turns out!!!

Here is Lorraines picture:

Seems 3/8" ribbbon works on 1/2" and 3/8" and she posted a picture a couple of weeks ago using 1/4" ribbon.
