Default help me my korker!

Well, I finally tried to make a korker. Gosh!! It just doesn't look good. Please help! I think some of it has to do with the cut, but other than that I cannot figure it out. I keep adding more and more ribbon because at first I know I didnt have enough. It does not look cute. It does not look fluffy, and I really want to make them correctly!

Any suggestions?

I tired attaching but for some reason, I was unable to get it to post so here are my links.

it looks like the dowel you used was too small. Try a larger size.

I use 1/4 inch dowels for 3/8 ribbon. I only use the 1/8 inch dowel for 1/4 inch ribbon.

I didnt know that! Where in the craft section were they? The wood area? I had to buy them per piece at Lowes. I got the smallest size and then the next size. Would one pack be enough? I am so excited. I love how the Korkers look!

How long are you cutting each piece? I cut mine 3 inches and they are very perky. I also sew them together; I've never tied them. I have no idea what difference, if any, that would make.
