I was just eyeballing them. They were more than 3 inch though. I will make sure I cut them a certain size too. I cut these some and they still did not look perky though but with bigger dowels and smaller cut, maybe they will be perky finally.

the first thing I noticed : the dowels used.

I've bought from WM, Michael's (I think I bought few packs from the cake decorating section too) and HL.

..........but, the dowels at WM is cheaper

I noticed it right away too that your dowel was too small.. Also how many are you using? I use 30 to 35 pieces of korked ribbon in each bow! HTH

Well, got the cake dowels, and cut 3 inches of 30 pieces of korkers, fray check and sewed it. I think it looks a lot better. What do you think?? Wow, it is heavier than I thought it would be!

Any suggestions?

I tired attaching but for some reason, I was unable to get it to post so here are my links.

Whohooooooooooooo Thanks!! My daughter is going to wear this to an Alabama Football party! I was really surprised it stayed in her hair when I tried it today as it felt so heavy!! She yelled Roll Tide when she saw it and she is only 2 1/2. Yikes!! She calls it her BIG Alabama bow. Hope my hubby doesn't think it is too big for her head, haha. Sewing the Korker actually was easier than I thought, and kinda (in a sick way) was fun.

They look much better. I have found that heat sealing lasts better than fray check.
