The center knot messes me up too. I always have this big separation in between from the ribbon.

Also my surround bows never look that good. I think I'm making them right, but they don't lay like that. I wonder if they are both supossed to be the same size.

mine still look pretty crappy. But one thing that helped me was when I make the surrounds was to make sure that there was space inbetween the left loops and the right loops. If they are touching it's hard to get the center knot through and around w/o pulling the loops backward. . .hope that makes some sense?!?

what's your ebay ID.

well here they are. the halloween is the one I did last night. Thought about buyong the Totts instructions, then kept reading advice here. Tried again today m2mg Prep School. It's better, but the loopy surrounds are still not right.

This one is good for surrounds:

Free Instructions: Loopy Surround-a-Bow Surrounds Surround

(although I still hot glue instead of sew for the surrounds)

I think you need to make your spikes a bit shorter as well - take my advice with a grain of salt because mine aren't perfect either.

Maybe Chantelle will come in here and tell us what to do, hers are perfect!
