Default How does she make her korkers look like this?

I was looking through some bow websites and found some beautiful korkers! I was wondering if anyone knows how she gets her korkers to stand up like this. Does she use starch/hair spray? I think these bows look great, but unfortunately mine never quite turn out this way. How does she get them that full? Even when I put a butt load of korkers on the needle they don't turn out that full. HELP!

Do you use this to make your korkers? I have seen people on here that talk about making their own. I may get my hubby busy with brackets this weekend! Here I am trying to sew them by hand and frustrated because they look like crap! Does anyone have any easy instructions for a homemade korker box? I would prefer to make my own and save $.

THANKS!!!!

You're too funny. You may be hung, etc. but it's true that they ARE more secure if they are sewn (it just makes sense, right)! I myself am not a sewing type of girl, but will continue doing them this way. I would hate to sell a product that fell apart-but that korker sure is pretty! I just wish mine looked that way after sewing. I will try adding more korkers and keep practicing!

I make them with the box then after I tie them I run a needle thru the middle 3-4 times... thimble is a must! HTH

I was thinking about trying that since I like the way the korker box bows look but I love the security of the thread. I'll definitely have to try this now.

Me too! I'll have to assign my husband to designing a box! He needed something to do this weekend - LOL! He'll be thrilled.

I do not use a box and mine look just like that, I am totally in agreement with Loraine. if you cut your links short enough and put enough Korkers on the needle it will look like that...also I use the tie and then stitch for my tiny 1/8 satin ribbon Korkers only because it is soooooooo hard to get those all on the needle. I have had my own DD pull out the ribbons if they are only tied.

I totally sew mine too. I've never had a problem not getting them to stand up straight

Mine are also good and starchy when I start.

I agree about the size of the cuts but I secure mine using zip ties. I will never ever go back to sewing korkers again. You can pull that zip tie really tight. LOL
