I use L brackets and pull TIGHT- then I run the needle thru- and when I attach to the clip I glue extra korkers around the clip.

I do agree- it's the length of the korker. Even with the L brackets- I cut my pieces to long last time and it didn't have that perfect round shape.

I totally sew mine (although I HATE it) and use NO spray of any kind. I only use 24-26 (depending on color scheme) korker pieces @ 3.5" each. I think they turn out totally fluffy.

Okay here is my two cents......now I don't know much about korkers, made a few and they all looked like crud....but I honestly think that the korker in the picture is korked with a smaller dowel (then the other beautiful ones from members here) and also starched heavy????? I may be totally off in my thinking. I also korked that blue and pink ribbon and it is really, really soft and floppy...so it has to be major starched.

I leave the threads long, spray them well with Stiffen Quick and hang upside down. Let it dry and then spray again and dry.

Gotta agree with Lorraine here. I have a korker box. I loved it. My little monster or hrm mean PRINCESS had all the korker pieces out by the time we got to the grocery store. Then I was doing the korker box AND Sewing them up through the middle kind of. It still didn't work well.

Sewing is the best technique for something that's secure.

3.5" with 35 is a nice full and big korker.

Yes they are very secure. But they are not SECURE. ONLY SEWING WILL MAKE THEM TOTALLY SECURE.

I line my ribbon pieces up in the order I want them in. Thread a needle and tie a knot in the bottom. I start to sew through the middle of each ribbon and layer the pieces. After i have added all the korkers I sew back down through the middle of each ribbon again. I pull tight and make a square knot at the bottom. Then I spray the heck out of them again when I attach to my clip.

I love my korker box, especially when trying to make different size korkers. I use the box, sew a few stitches through the middle then I take my glue gun and shoot a small amount of glue in the center between the ribbons. I hope this make sense. Spray with a little `Aussie spray and hang upside down to dry.

I purchased a korker box yesterday after a bunch of ladies were talking about it on another forum. I am big about making sure my bows are secure. I think I will mess with the box and then try sewing them together once they are stacked. I wonder if you using a long needle will make it easier to secure evenly.

I want my korkers to stick straight out and not touch as well. I do use a lot SS before baking and spray once again after the bow is made and hung upside down to dry.
