Stiffen Bows

Do you ladies always stifffen you bows? I never stiffen my dd's bows, but I'm doing a few craft shows in the coming months and don't know if I should stiffen them or not. TIA

I stiffened a bow for the first time yesterday, I really liked the results. I would say yes, esp for a show, they will keep shape better.

I just started not very long ago and it took me a couple of experimental bows to figure out what worked for me. At first, I had some crunchy bows. I use 1/2 water and 1/2 sta-flo (got it at Wal-Mart) and a squirt bottle. My first squirt bottle shot out too much, but the one I use now does a mist and that works great. I would say stiffen those bows! I do almost everything. If you are doing korkers, it makes a huge difference. I love how mine look now. Someone pointed out that even about midway through you can still shape the bows so I will starch, hang upside, and then come back and check it later. If something needs tweaked, I do it. Then I spray that tweaked area a little more and let completely dry, and wow, super poofy korker bows. I think I am going to do my princesses too.

So, is that how everyone does it?? 50% fabric stiffener and 50% water in a spray bottle?? I really want to do this but didn't know what to use.

I stiffen all of my bows. IMO they just look better and hold their shape alot better. I use Stiffen Stuff.
