Pretty sure it's just fishing wire, filled with beads in a pattern you like. You can see the clasps she used, and add a big bead in the center.

Yes they are made out of the polymer clay. I would love to learn how to make the necklace not the clay beads. any suggestions?

It's most likely made with the wire, probably softflex wire (which is the best IMO). You can also get some nylon coated stainless steel wire. The higher the strand count the better. The one I use to sting pearls is 7 strands and .30mm thin. I'm not really happy with it but it's the only one that I can find locally that's thin enough to go through pearl hole twice. The best coated stainless steel wire is 49 strands. It's the strongest. HTH.

I've always had a problem with fishing wire slipping at the crimp over time so eventually the clasp and the beads just explode off

I use tiger tail jewelry wire now because its coated and just has proven to work very well for me. I am rough on my jewelry and I have yet to have any crimps slip or the wire snap. It is also nice because its coated and not very sharp and the end you cut at, so if you end up with a piece sticking out for any reason at the clasp, it shouldn't stab you. I used to have that problem alot when I first started making jewelry.

As far as making the necklace you really just need to measure how how much wire you want (which will differ on who or what its for). Find a good length. I always clasp off one end so I have a stopper for the beads. Make sure you know where the center of your necklace is going to be then add what you want in a pattern towards the center, then repeat it going down the other side. I like to leave at least an inch of room extra at the end for when you close off the strand, that way it doesn't slip out of your hands easy. Many times did I not give myself enough room and I ended up with a lap full of beads >.<.

I hope my explanation made sense...I tend to ramble and in the end no one knows what I am talking about haha...I can make a short picture tuturiol if you guys want

I use a set of needle nose pliers when I do it, I bought a smaller pair in the beading section of some craft store (I forget which one but they all should have them). The smaller needle nose pliers let you get in the smaller space easier, I can take a picture if you want. I can post in a few with what I mean, visuals are always nice

k ladies, I put together a tutorial, you can view it here!

Crimping by =Naneko85 on deviantART

Push download on the left side towards the top if you want full resolution.

I hope this helps.

Also, I saw Joann's is having a jewelry making sell so you can get findings and such there.

I also realized that saying to use crimps may be a bit vague because well...there are soooo many different types. I use ones like this : Blue Moon 2mm Crimp Bead - 40PK/Silver They have little ridges in them and flatten well when you use the pliers on them. Don't slip in my experience either. The smooth tube like ones I have had trouble with, but alot of it is just preference! Have at it girls!
