Default How do you make your infant bows?

How do you make your baby bows? What bow styles do you like the best and what kind of clips do you use? I am trying to focus on making baby bows right now.

I was just about to post the same thing! I've made a few using various directions and 7/8 ribbon - and just make them 2-3 inches. Those turn out ok (sometimes). It's the ones using 3/8 or 5/8 that just don't do right. I use a small Sally's clip to tie it. I did find these instructions on "baby bows" - have you seen them?

After several days of trying, I finally made one yesterday that looks halfway right. But, at least I know it's possible. The loops always end up falling together.
Good luck - I can't wait to see what everyone else says!

The baby bow instructions were great! This was the first time that I saw these instructions. I've been looking for good instructions to get the ends of the ribbon showing like that too.

I know that she's also a member here. Thank you!!!

I make 2 kinds of baby bows-one with 5/8" ribbon and the bow is about 2.5" across and I make the other with 3/8" ribbon (I call these itty bitty bows) and the bow is about 2" across. Here are some pics:

I do line the clip, part way, for the itty bitty bows because if I didn't you could see the metal but I don't line it for the regular baby bows. HTH

I like to make 2 loop tails down bows for itty-bitty babies. They are super easy - basically the first 2 folds in the posted tut and then crease and tie.

Thanks, girls! I feel inspired to try some baby bows. Now, who can tell me how to get my one year old to leave them in her hair??

I also make itty bitty korkers for dd. She's been wearing bows since she was 8 months, and the tiny korkers get the most compliments. I used the smalled satin ribbon I could find and the smallest dowel I could find.
