I've heard alot about starching bows but I don't get it...AT ALL! How do I "starch"my bows? Do I starch the ribbon then make a bow? And if I do have to starch the ribbon first how will it dry? Please help!!

I mix my starch Stay Flo or whatever is cheapest half and half in a spray bottle. Fill up half with water the rest with starch. Once I have my bows made I spray them down and use a blow dryer to dry them. Seems like they get really stiff with the dryer.
