I think sewing is the easiest way. After cutting korked ribbon to the desired length, start threading (thru the center of the kork) onto your needle, letting them slide down your thread until you have the desired amount. Then push them all tightly to the knotted thread end, stitch through the whole thing a few times, pulling each stitch tight, knot it off and you are done. I use beading thread ~ which is very strong ~ so I only have to stitch two or three times, because it is very difficult to get the needle through sometimes!

All the angles go different way (left, right, left). I have always made them that way. I actually never thought to try them a different way Would you mind posting pictures of what your ribbons look like? I would love to see them.

P.S. How do you sew them? I love to find out more about how to do that. I tie mine, but I bet sewing looks nice.

I hold the needle and thread them on one at a time I keep them all on the needle until I have how many I want on it, I turn each one so that it isjust to one side or the other of the one before (ussually I just keep going all the way around and around and around) once I have the amount I want I stitch several times threw the middle and knot off. I used to tie them but I had several costomers who had toddlers and it only took them about 5 minutes to tear every ribbon out!!! My own dd had done this to me as well.

also I use the table or something hard to help push the needle threw, and keep in mind the needle WILL break if you aren't careful!

I made this one with the 1/8" ribbon. It was such a tangled mess I could not think of cutting so I just started sticking it on my needle and ended up with this.

Yes, no cutting, sealing, etc. I just looped it onto the needle, first one side then the other, adjusting until I got the shape I wanted. Couldn't be much easier!

Thanks for explaining how to sew them together. I made my first korker today and it just didn't seem sturdy enough by just tying.

Rachel - I love your etsy site - very pretty bows!!

yup, i agree, sewing is the best way to go w/ the korkers; my daughter is one of those that can pull those suckers apart with no problem!

I don't think she's making them different lengths, I think she's talking about the number of korkers on each row, no the length of korkers on each row.
