As far as the Cuttlebug, just get the regular one (not cricut). Oh and I'm pretty sure that Michael's and Joanns won't take coupons for them. I had a 40% off coupon for Joanns and the lady did take it but she said she'd probably get fired for taking it because the coupon specifically said NOT for use on the Cuttlebugs. She said she hated her job anyway so I don't think she was too worried about it!!
I would check the cutting pad & thin die adapter. It took me a few tries, but I got it! When I used the foam, I place the "B" cutting pad down, the foam on top, my felt (which I bought the cheap stuff to practice on), & then the "B" cutting pad. I find it easy to put the foam closer to the bottom of the pads, because if not, I am sweating trying to get the whole thing thru!!! Best of luck!

If you still have your instructions manual, the steps are in there...I have to use mine EVERY time I do it!! I am so forgetful! If not, pm me & I'll send you the instructions!

No, I just went into Joann's and when I paid it was sitting on the counter marked off. I asked if there was something wrong w/ it & she said that it was sent to their store by accident. Since they are a smaller Joann's they do not carry these products. I just got REALLY lucky & had to purchase it!

Its a good thing my husbands hobby is RACING DIRT BIKES,because now I can justify all the money I am about to spend on this machine, felt & dies.

I was wondering how the felt was. They have an example pack 6"x6", 78 color swatches for $24.00. Which I think is great for small projects.

Ok - I will chime in on this. I have a Cuttlebug and LOVE it! Cuttlebug is the only machine that will take all dies. I think we have a post on this going somewhere in the past - you would have to search. I use 35% wool blend felt. It does not fray. The cheap stuff - is cheap - don't use it. 100% is VERY expensive, and for me, if just using on a hair clip - not worth it. If I were wanting a purse or hat - different story. I either sew mine together or use fabic-tac - works either way. Enjoy!!! It is addictive!!!
