Hey Cynthia,

Do you use a wool blend felt? Or do you use 100% wool. I have not experimented with washing my wool blend before cutting it. I am so tempted to try. Just wondering if you or anyone else has washed and dried their wool blend felt before cutting it, and what you think about it???

Anyone? Anyone?

I was so inspired yesterday by this thread that I went to Hobby Lobby & saw that the Cuttlebug (the cheap one) was $79.99. I thought to myself...I can not buy this just to make dd bows! I later ran over to JoAnn's to get some stiffiner & when I was checking out, they had this exact one make down to $40!!! I couldn't believe it!!! So, of course, I could justify this expense, right??!! So I ran over to Michal's and purchased a ton of felt & some dyes! I am TOTALLY excited!!!

I used my cuttlebug for the first time last night. I purchased both the cuttlebug dies as well as some sizzix dies. They both work!! It was so fun last night! I would totally recommend getting one!!

I only use 100% wool felt.. I've tried the craft and blended but I didn't like it (it's just me..lol)...

ETA: There's is also such thing as 100% Eco Spun Polyester and this, you can get at WM...I tried this felt, not bad at all but i still like the 100% wool felt...

I think there's only one Cuttlebug machine (but then again, i could be wrong..)

Yes correct, sizzix dies works in CB and vice versa...

I tried the same thing and could not for the life of me get my cuttlebug to cut the sizzix dies. I've given up on it! I put them in the same way (foam side UP), but they didn't cut the felt all the way. Are you doing anything else? Maybe you are using a wool felt? I'm just using the cheap stuff right now. ??

As far as the Cuttlebug, just get the regular one (not cricut). Oh and I'm pretty sure that Michael's and Joanns won't take coupons for them. I had a 40% off coupon for Joanns and the lady did take it but she said she'd probably get fired for taking it because the coupon specifically said NOT for use on the Cuttlebugs. She said she hated her job anyway so I don't think she was too worried about it!!

Just an FYI I ordered a ton of felt from Prairie Point Junction Quilt Shop--Cozad, NE, last night and got the shipping confirmation today! Their price on the wool blend felt is really good, plus it is on sale till the 14th. And their shipping was reasonable. I bet I will have it here in 2 days! So now I know that they are fast!!!!

Newbie here but I couldn't resist asking a question! For those of you that have done this with felt & a cuttlebug what plates are you using to stack it? Just the normal order to cut cardstock or does it need to be different? I hope I'm making sense! I bought a cuttlebug to do card making but this would be so much fun too! Thanks for the help!
