Default need help with sewing korkers

I'm still new at this so I'm a little lost. I was using string and tying my korker lengths together in the middle, but they always seemed so loose. SO then I started sewing them with a couple strands of embroidery thread. (I separate the thread into just a couple strands rather than use the whole thread). My problem is if I try to make a nice full korker, I have a really hard time getting the needle through and if I use less korkers, it doesn't look as good.

How do you get the needle through all those pieces (at least 24 if not more) or is there a better way to grouping the korkers together?

I sew mine as well and I also have trouble getting the needle through! I don't use more than 24 pieces, so I can't help ya there. But I will say that I use button/craft thread and that stuff is unbreakable! Also I use a longer needle than average and that helps me keep a handle on it. And do be careful, b/c I have managed to break needles while trying to force them through a korker.

i could never find the pliers when i needed them-so i use dollar store fingernail clippers to pull the needle through-after a few korker bows they aren't good for fingernails anymore!!

As everyone else said, it is hard to get the needle through, but to me, it is soooo worth it. You know that one cannot be pulled apart! I use beading thread so I only have to take a few stitches, because that thread too is strong!

I always sew mine together now.. I used to tie them with elastic, but it was hard to get them even and they could pull out easily.
I use regular thread but I double it so its strong. It's kinda hard to get through the second time around, but i just push the needle down with my hard wood table..lol.. and presto! a beautiful even korker bow! I also hot glue the back where I finished the stitch anyway, so I know it's not going to come out.

I found I was having problems like everyone else pushing the needle through. I bought a quilter's thumb thimble the other day which has a little notch in the thumb front to put the end of needle and puch through and it was so easy! Also it is superhard plastic so you don't have to worry about the needle coming through. I was using the table but I made one too many marks on it lol.
