~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have been making flip flops and using hot glue without a problem. Well, I made my dds each a pair of flip flops for the fourth and the first time they wore them, the flower loopy bow fell off. It was like it was top heavy. So I decided to get some E6000 and try it since some of you have said that you use it for flipflops. It works fine but it's a little messy to use. I have an order for some flipflops but I don't want them to look messy. Is there a trick to getting the glue out of the wide opening without making a mess? I need help!
Bamboo skewer! It is so much better than a toothpick(which is what I used to use)! It is big enough to hold onto and there is a pointy end for little spots and a wide, flat end for bigger applications or attaching rhinestones(it is amazing for picking up flat back rhinestones)! I put a little on a napkin or paper plate and go from there but it dries out at the top of your little "mound" and you have to get more.
I hate the little applicator it comes with...never works right and if you forget to clean it out it takes awhile and you have to get a needle or something to get it out! Hope that helps! |
Thanks everyone. It did come with a tip thing, but I can't figure it out. It doesn't screw onto the top.
I'm sure there's a better way, but I just squeeze a little out on a paper plate and use popsicle sticks, or toothpicks to apply. You have to be a weightlifter to squeeze it out of the plastic tip! But I love the stuff and used it on flipflops for my 3yr old DGD,,,they've handled alot of wear and tear and still stay together
