Default bottlecap

i know this is a topic that comes up all them time--but you that use the 2 part epox mix (envirotex i think) i have a question!!

i got some and tried it last night--here is my question--some of the mixture ran off the bottlecap and then when i went to get them off--there is the mixture on the inside and some hanging off the cap. so my question is--how do you keep it from running over? i am thinking about making dh make me something that i set the caps on (like a nail head) and then if it runs over--it drips down. would that work? i got most of the excess off--but my fingers hurt no from picking at it

i have no idea about what you have asked as i haven't made one yet but i do have a question for you, where did you get the envirotex at?
If you got it from Hobby Lobby, what section was it at? I have asked twice now and they have no idea what i am tlaking about, so i have images and bottlecaps but nothing to seal them with because i can't find where to get it!
Thanks

and i hope you find the answers your looking for!

Yup. I have only seen it at Micheals, not HL. On the flip side, no E6000 at Michaels, only HL.

What do you guys use to glue images to the caps before sealing?

I agreed - you may be using a bit too much. Envirotec is a little runny. I use slightly different method. I start at the center - using a small paint brush, make a small puddle and work my way outward toward the edges. My success rate is about 80% - not perfect everytime.

just food for thought...I use on my bottlecaps paper glaze(bought at Michaels and used a coupon it came to about $2.50) and I think it works great. It has a clear, hard glassy look and the top has a pointed nose! I start on the outside and fill until I reach the middle and it is not runny almost like a soft glue!! Hope that helps??
