Default Spikes for small bows

Can anyone tell me how long to make my spikes to go behind a 3" bow? I really want to make some funky bows for my dd.

It's all up to you, I usually make my spikes 4 inches for a 3 inch bow..and I cut them down to where I want them. I think it's a personal liking..or a customers liking! Good luck! You will soon realize everything is almost a trial and error learning process!

I cut 4" for 2.5 bows. By the time I cut the v's I lost a little bit. For 3.5" bows I cut 4.5" spikes.
