Default korker question...

I am making a korker for my very first order. I'm using elastic to tie it off with, but how do I make it so you don't see the elastic once it's finished? Do I just wiggle the ribbons around and play with it? Or put something on top of the elastic?

Thanks!!!!

i would sew it! if you sew it it cant possibly be pulled apart if you have little ones! i have tried it both ways and sewing just seems to work.

you would take a korker from the front top middle and the back top middle (center of the bow) switch sides (ribbon in front crossed over ribbon in back. When you attach your korker to the clip you would glue those to ribbons to secure the cilp covering the elastic at the same time. I'm not sure if that made any sense or not but I hope that helps. Oh and I would sew it fist. You can sew through and around the elastic before covering the center and all. It's a pain but better than a little one taking 2 seconds to destroy it.

Thank you! I love the sewing idea. I can see how they could get destroyed really easy if you didn't. I wonder if you sew it through the middle if you would even need the elastic? My guess is that you do since you guys use both.

I tried a korker, and couldn't figure out how to hide the elastic either. I decided to shelf that idea for a while.

I sew them also. Just stack them up on the needle until you have it like you want it, push the needle through several times, and knot it off. I think it's much easier, you can get them much more centered, and it can't be easily destroyed.

I have a friend that uses the elastic on her little girl's korkers. Everytime I see her wearing one, the little girl is pulling them out. I can't imagine all of that work being destroyed.

I only sew, I don't use the elastic. I used to use only the elastic, but found the korks were easily pulled out!! And I don't really see a need to do both.

Yay! Thank you, I'll try just sewing it then. One more question, how do you attach it to the clip? Sew it again somehow?

It's 105 here today, hopefully this heat wave will pass soon so I can turn on my oven.
