Default Needle/thread question

Are you guys using tapestry needles for your bows - or only for the thick ones? Are you just using regular thread? Off to michaels to use my coupon and I need to get these things as well...

Thanks! ~Adrienne

I just use whatever the thicker needles are that come in the cheap package of needles lol.....

I use either upholstery thread or "hand sewing" thread (about the same weight) instead of regular thread. It tends to get twisted a little easier, but I don't waste near as much with my thread breaking!

I just use regular needles & polyester thread. For korkers I use embroidery thread. Lots of people have mentioned elastic thread, but the kind I tried was terrible. Hope that helps.

I found the best thing that works for me is 8lb fishing string. Holds great and will not break. You can tighten it up real good too.

oooh- the fishing string is a great idea...very sturdy. I use embroidery thread because I have lots and lots and lots of it in many colors. I'm not going to buy anything new until it's all gone.

I use the carpet/upholstry thread. I LOVE it! I have never had it break while pulling (and I pull super hard lol)
