Default crease

Ok I have been driving my self nuts with this. I have seemed to master the funky boutique bow using both the hand method and the cheat method (Figure 8) but thats where it falls apart. I cant make a crease to save my life. I start to accordian it and then it just falls apart. Any hints or ideas? I can use my bow maker from TOTTS but it doesnt give me that exageratted bow look I like.

Have you used a sewing needle? It works great for me and I usually get a perfect crease every time. Hold your bow, center the needle and weave in and out a few times, then before you pull your needle through take your fingers and squeeze the ribbon together then pull your needle through and wrap around the bow several times. Hope this helps.

After realizing that I totally STUNK at hand creasing I have been using either the gator bite or sewing method... I'll attach photos of each... the first is sewn the second is gator bitten..

I use to just sew the middle, then I got the Gator Bite. It makes creases so much easier.

I use the large Sally's clip I read about here on the forum. I struggled for weeks trying to get my crease right--once I used the clip it turned aout great! Bonus is that you can get 6 of them for $2 rather than $29 that the Gator Bite costs. I have always wanted to the GAtor Bite, but I am a cheapskate and decided to try the cheaper route first. Good luck
