Default Fluffy Tutu Onesie?

My daughters 1st birthday pictures are Saturday and I saw this fluffy double row fluffy tutu onesie and I soooo wanted to make this for her pictures. Does anyone know how they did this or if there are instructions to do it? I think for my DD I might only need 3 yards of it but I'm not sure how they got it to stay to the onesie..maybe just sewing it?

TIA!
Tammy

I like the 2nd pic better. I think that would be adorable on a onesie. I looks like a few rows have been sewn on the first one. I make tutu overalls and I just sew the tulle right onto them. I'm sure that would work with the onesie as well. I'm going to try it.

Actually I was just looking around online and it seem that the tutu onesie is similar to the chiffon fluff that you make pettiskirts with. There is a link on Recipes, Cooking Tips, Home Decorating Ideas, Crafts, Gardening, Food and Dessert Recipes, and Entertaining from Martha Stewart for pettiskirts. Maybe that will help.

This isn't quite the same, though you could probably adapt it.

Hope the link works: How I Make Onesie Tutu's

I made one recently. I was really easy. I don't really like the instructions in the link because they require you to cut the onesie. When I did mine I just ruffled the tulle with my ruffler foot and sewed the ruffle to the tutu. If you don't have a ruffler then you do a baisting(sp) stitch and gather the tulle then sew in on the tutu. The pics you listed used chiffon not tulle and the strips are shorter. Here's a pic of mine. HTH

I made one like the 2nd pic not too long ago. i used the tulle and just cut it into 3 in wide and 6 in long and tied in knots on the elastic and it turned out super cute. i used 3 different colors on mine!
