Default marabou puff and convertable bows question

can someone explain to me how to make these mines are not coming out right my marabou keeps poping off the clip and I have feathers all over the place LOL my girls like them but I am afraid they are going to come apart after several uses on them. About the convertable I would like to make them so my girls can mix and match but I am not sure how to make them are they with velcro or magnets or a snap botton? appreciate any info for these projects .

thanks,

JessyLo

Can't help you with the marabou (I don't like it so I don't use it), but the convertable bows I can!

What you do is Take you another piece of ribbon, about 1/2 inch. Heat seal the ends, and then glue each end onto your center. I wish I had a picture to explain better. The clip rests in between your center ribbon and the glued on top. For side bows, take your center ribbon and about 1in extra piece. Glue one side to the left side of your ribbon (on the back). Wrap the center with the extra ribbon (don't make it too tight) and glue the other end to the back of the center ribbon.

Could you follow that? There were instructions on here but I think they were removed.

Here is a picture of the convertible bow that I make - with only one loop. You can add another loop going in the opposite direction through the existing loop. With loops in both directions it allows you to attach a wider variety of clips
Hope my pic helps

My 3 yr old GD was born a DIVA! I use marabou all the time,,,,I cut it outside and then put a drop of fray check on each end,,,the ends will look funky so I wrap the maribou around until the ends touch (like a bracelet) and glue,,hope this helps

you girls are wonderful!! I will try these out tonight and let you all know but before I do let see if I really did get it LoL!
about the convertible: I don't knot the center just leave it flat and not put glue on the front just on the back and not to tight right?and I can add another loop for opposite clip not sure about this part.
and about the Marabou: is it just a circle with the ends together or do I swirl it abit and then join the end? cause I did that just without the ends together but when I would glue it to the clip it was a mess I will try to post a picture Thank God My Hubby got me a new camara for my bday so now I can post My Pictures

thanks for all your suggestions and sorry for so many questions

Hugs,
Jessy

Another hint with the marabou is to wrap a little tape around it right where you are gonna cut it and then cut on the tape and you shouldn't get any stray feathers!! I do it on carpet and don't find any anywhere!! Hope that helps!!

The tape method sounds great for cutting!

I get my boa at Hancocks... like $3.99 for a loooong strand...
