Help with wrapping tutus?

So I posted this awhile back and was suppose to put up a picture of what I made so it would be easier to tell me what I'm doing wrong...Here's a picture of a wrapped tutu dress that I think looks horribleeee...I can't get the ribbon to wrap around and look nice...It also makes it very gapy looking when my daughter wears it...I've bought directions on how to do it, but it's just not turning out right...Any tips? Thanks!

I'm curious if anyone has any great tips, too. I made a tutu for each of my daughters. I bought ribbon to try to wrap around the knots and I had no luck with it. I was havin the same problem and just gave up.

What size ribbon are you using? I find that 1 1/2" ribbon works better then 7/8" ribbon. Also, what kind of knot are you using, slip knot or square knot? I've done it both ways and the square knot works better for wrapping. HTH!

I've used all different size ribbons and I do the slip knot...I'm not even sure what a square knot looks like

It's the first step in tying your shoes. I do a double knot.
