Advice Needed Please: Sequin Cheer Bow
I've made cheer bows by using heat n bond lite before when adding custom fabric layers like mystique.
However, I've never made a sequin cheer bow. I don't mean the flat foil sequins, I mean the real sequin material.
What has worked best for you? I'm afraid of melting the sequins if I use heat n bond.
Thanks in advance for any tips!
Re: Advice Needed Please: Sequin Cheer Bow
I just made a cheer bow last night for a young lady trying out....and used the sequin fabric and wide grosgrain.
I cut the heat and bond lite the same size as the grosgrain. Then I ironed the heat and bond onto the grosgrain using parchment paper on top...between the ribbon and iron.
(Peal off the paper.)
Then I placed the heat and bond side of the grosgrain on the flat straight edge (back) of my sequin fabric. I covered it with the parchment paper and ironed it. I had my iron set low....like between silk and polyester. Then I cut the sequin fabric all around the grosgrain.
Then I made the sequin cheer bow. The grosgrain is the backing.
Hope this helps.
