Probably so. After a while you should figure out the right speed with which to move the lighter around the V. I'm not sure I even take one second to seal a V. Some people fold the V, but not to the point of the sides touching and run the lighter along both sides at the same time, but I end up with the two inner edges having slightly different shapes if I do that.
