Default Newbie Bottle Cap Question

I make and sell bottle cap images for about a year now. Well now I want to expand my little shop and make finished products with them. I have been searching the forums here and the net for all kinds of info. My head feels like it's swimming..lol

I am thinking of going to Staples to get my images printed. I think that's the only office supply store we have near me. None of my images are Licensed Characters, Teams etc so I will be safe there.

What type of paper or photo paper should I get them printed on?

What type of supplies would I need to just get started? I do have bottle caps and epoxy stickers (which I heard aren't very great.) I know I need a 1 inch punch. What else would you recommend?

I am just going to concentrate on making the finished bottle caps right now and experiment with different glazes and such to see what works for me. But I'm just not sure what everything is called...lol

Also do you have any good tutorials that could help me?

I'm sorry for all the questions. Like I said my head is swimming from everything I'm reading and I thought I would get your opinions.

Oh and if you have any tips to share with me too that would be great!

What has worked for me for the last few years (once I found what I liked) I print at home, and I do NOT use photo paper, just regular ole' printer paper, 1 inch hole punch which you can even get at Wal-Mart these days, the xyron sticker maker with permanent adhesive (the one that looks like an x) modge podge to seal the image once on the bottle cap, and ET Lite. I have tried other glazes and epoxy dots and nothing has every looked as good as ET Lite. I would also invest when you can in a bottlecap punch so if people want these for keychains or necklaces you can offer them pre-punched.

Thank you so much!! I was reading that I should use a laser jet printer. I have an ink jet and heard that my images will run. So I think I will try Staples and see how that works out until I can get a better printer.

I found a xyron sticker machine at xyron.com. It's called
Hot Purple Sticker Maker with 100 ft Adhesive" for $9.99. Was this what you were talking about? (My post keeps getting denied for the link that takes you to the product so I can't post it in here.) I never heard of this before, would you mind explaining what I need it for?

We have an annual craft fair where I live and I am hoping to join it next year. So I thought I better get my supplies and just take my time and experiment and see what works for me and what doesn't. But I just needed to hear everyone's opinions and tips and tricks and all that good stuff before I feel confident to actually do it.

Now it looks like I need to start a shopping list...lol

This is the sticker maker that I use.....

I have a regular ink jet printer, and I don't have any issues with the images running. I do print them off the day before I use them though, and seal them with modge podge before I apply the ET Lite. With the sticker maker make sure you get the permanent adhesive. HTH

What type of Mod Podge do you use? I'm seeing tons of different ones and not sure what the best one to use is. Oh and can I get ET Lite at Michaels or Hobby Lobby? Is there something specific I would need to look for?

Sorry, one more question.

I was talking to my mom about ET Lite and she gave me this stuff that says ET 1 to 1 polymer coating resin and hardner. Is that the same stuff?

Is it in a blue box, and you mix equal parts together? Then yes
