Default Cleaning Inside of Hot Glue Gun?

I think I may have some glue stuck on the inside of my hot glue gun that isn't letting the heated glue come out. Yeah that sounds silly LOL. But anyway, how can I clean out the inside if I need to?

I'd just let it get REALLY hot. like plug it in for 15 min or so. and then use another glue stick and try to push it through and get the clog out. I haven't heard of any other way of doing it.

What temp glue gun do you use? I bought low temp when I first started making bows.

That's going to be a problem. I have a high temp and always make sure it is well warmed up before using. You NEED to have a high temp glue gun for bows and the glue needs to be very hot in order for the glue to stay on your bows. I would strongly recommend getting a high temp glue gun asap especially if you sell your bows, otherwise they won't last very long.
You don't have to spend a lot on one i think I paid around $5 for mine at Walmart and I have had it for several years and use it a lot.

I have a couple that also came from Wally World. Ditto to the high heat for a more permanent hold!

I have no tips on cleaning a low temp glue gun though, sorry

I've (VERY CARFULLY) used a lighter depending where I got glue stuck. Not direct flame, just near it to get the heat where I wanted. Also have heated up something metal and scraped glue out too... (if it's in a small place, I've used a stick-pin).

Get creative, lol, but BE CAREFUL!

I ended up letting it warm up for more than 15 mins and when I pushed my glue stick in there, the glue came out nicely this time. Guess I just need to warm it up longer for my projects!
