Default Question about surrounding loops

I was wondering is there a rule of thumb you use for the length of ribbon required to make surrounding loops?

I hope that makes sense! For example when making a 2 inch boutique bow you would use 18 inches of ribbon, but then for surrounding loops which match this size bow, is there a method to how you know what length ribbon to use?

Thanks so much!!

Default Re: Question about surrounding loops

I have the sizes I usually need written down, but today I needed a new size so I made one loop and put it behind a loop on my TBB...and adjusted to the size I liked it. Then, I held my finger in the place of the ribbon and measured it and multiplied by four. Then measured and cut. Hope that makes sense. It worked perfectly.
