Default Grrrrrr korker problems

Ok first let me say that i am one of these people that has a million ideas in my head and most of thetime cant figureout how to make them work lol. So on to a new project, korker bows. I have read and researched tons of threads and tuts and thpught, ok i got this, uhuh, the baking came out fine i have a bunch of adorable corker ribbons now lol. I have triedtosewthem and then tried t tie them and with each process i end up witha flat middle and my corkers looking like they are trying to run away. I was next going totryto glue them like the instructions i found here but myclips dont hold them nice and flat. Theribbonjust curls up with the clip.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE?

korkers in my opinion are a pin in the butt, but so so cute! I was having the same problem and so I started spraying them with starch before I bake them then spray them again as soon as I take them out of the oven, then when they are good and dry take them off the sticks cut them to size and spray again and leave overnight then I sew them together. it has worked or me but it is a lot steps

Perhaps some pictures would be helpful. I know that some are sewn and those are the ones i like. Also, some women order our clips that are lined "backwards," whch means the ribbon is completely covering the flat side of the clip and this is what is glued to the bow.

HTH.

I have terrible trouble sewing mine. Mine are always "FLOPPY" I made my own little korker box and layer the ribbons in bunches. It really helps to make a nice round korker. Be sure all your ribbon pieces are the same size too

This is how I do mine : http://ilikebigbows.blogspot.com/201...-tutorial.html

Good luck! Yes, these are a pain in the BOOTY to make but so darn cute.

Here are my Korkers. I sew mine. I also have a rule I never use less then 12 koker pieces. The more the better. The more you use the more full the bow looks and the more it will overlap the middle. I know exactly what you mean because this happened to me when I would only use 8 korker pieces per bow. Attached are pics of my korker bows. One is a korker bow attached to my woven headband and another is a korker attached to an infant headband.

Thank you everyone! I think i have figured it out and have gone korker crazy lol! One of the things that i have figured out is when im done sewing my korkers i turn them upside down, fluff them the way i want, spray with hairspray and let them dry upside down hanging from the tail of the thread i left from sewing. I dont know if its the right way or even a good way of doing things lol but it works so far for me. As soon as i can get to my computer i will upload some photos for your opinions

That is the same way I do mine . I sew em and when I'm done i spray em with stiffen stuff and hang upside down to dry that's just what works for me.

I use the tutorial on You Tube by Hair Hardware. I use 20 pieces per regular sized bow, 6" long. I sew them so the bow is symmetrical.
