Default Is there an alternative to a hot glue gun for ribbon sculptures?

Can anyone recommend a glue, other than a hot glue gun, to use for ribbon sculptures?

I made a bit of a mess trying to make one yesterday, the glue had discoloured and looked awful.... it is very old and did stick but I would like to try something that allows me to tweak the ribbon a little before it sticks, especially while I'm still learning.

TIA

I'm starting out too!!! And hate when you can see the glue...
I have been using thread and needle and I like it ... but it take longer.
I have to use the same color of thread for the ribbon and the stitching has to be clean...

I was tempted to sew yesterday, but the ribbon seemed to 'split' where I stitched and showed a white colour inbetween the threads, it looked worse than the glue! I am waiting for some ribbon to arrive, I only have stampin up stuff at the moment and it won't curl for korker bows either, so not very impressed.

I have lots of colour threads and can sew neatly so may give it another go once my new ribbon arrives!

Any pictures of your creations yet?

yes, hot glue is not the easiest to use since there is not much time to fix it before it hardens. In my tutorials I give a recommendation if anyone is interested.

don't know if this would work . . . but how about the double sided tape they use for lining clips?

Although I do not really make ribbon sculptures but I would give a try to invisible thread. You could skip the ongoing threading and changing colour step.
