Default Need Help Making Parent Shirts

I am on a mission to make shirts for my husband and I for our daughter's team. I found really cute soccer fabric that I want to cut out a round ball shape and put on the shirts but I don't have any idea howto put it on. Also wanting to put lettering like " Andrea's Mom" but don't know whats the best way. I'm not crazy about the iron on lettering that's already in packages, so what's the best way to put "glue or iron on" fabric onto a shirt? Or any ideas about making one

Ive made shirts for my kids teams by getting fabric from the fabric story and using heat N'bond on to apply to the shirt than using fabric glue to outline the letters. Have also added rhinestones to make it stand out.
