Default Key Fob question

When you guys make these, and get ready to put the hardware on, do you sew the ends of the webbing together first? I made my first one today and when I clamped the hardware on the webbing slipped a bit, and made it just a teeeensy bit crooked. I don't think anyone would notice - of course it's driving me crazy though. Suggestions? Thanks!

I sew them. I didn't on a couple by mistake, and you can definately tell a difference.
