Default Bows on Elastic Headband

Help! What is the best way to attach a pinwheel style bow to a skinny elastic headband (1/8 inch)??? Any tips? Thank you so much!

The way I would do it:

Finish the bow, glue or sew the skinny elastic headband, glue the bow to the headband and finish it put a piece of felt on the back (the same or matching color) not bigger than the bow center and glue it to the back bow, (in the middle will be the elastic headband where the ends meet), hope it make sence...

I use felt circles as well. Coordinating with either the color of the elastic or the bow.

Here is how I would do it

Make the pinwheel, except for center
Cut elastic to length and glue (or sew)
Put a small dab of glue on the back of the pinwheel
Attach to the sewn/glued part of the headband
Then wrap both the bow and the headband with the intended center.
