Default Weaving top of tutu dress?

Not sure if that came out right lol but I'm working on a tutu dress for my almost 8 year old. I did sew two crochet together to make it less see through, but still not happy with the results, I know I can put a tank top under it as well, but I was thinking of weaving ribbon throughout the top to give it a more finished look. Does anyone have suggestions on how to go about it? I've tried playing around with it while she is wearing it but nothing looks right yet.. would love some suggestions.

the problem with weaving in the tulle is that the headbands stretch while the tulle doesn't.
You could hand sew large flowers onto the front to hide the holes. Also, you could use knit as a lining for the whole thing, or just sew some to the inside of the front so that it is no longer see though.
Good luck!

I thought of trying to sew a lining in, the only concern I had was it wouldn't stretch as much as the crochet top part?

I made a tutu dress for my daughter last Halloween. She went as a fall fairy. I did the tutu skirt at the bottom and then I hand stitched flowers to the front of the top so you couldn't see through it at all.

I have sewn lining into the crochet tops. I use material that stretchs, like spandex. I bought some fabric from joanns, the kind that is used for dance costumes etc, I am not sure the exact name of it, but it has worked out well although it took a few tries on part to get it right because I am not all that great with the sewing machines. Heres an attachment of one with a lining sewn in, its not the best picture since its not so close up, but its the only one i have on my work computer. You could also make one like a corset type of top that works really well also.
