Default Competition at Craft Show

Would you sign up for a craft show if you knew someone else was going to be selling bows there?

Yes, as long as it is not too saturated with bow makers. There's only so much business that a market can handle before it stretches everyone too thin. One is not likely to be a big deal. Best of luck!

Most shows I do theres at least 1 other person selling hair things. I've never found it to be a problem. Usually we have different items. Good luck to you

Also before I sign up for any show I always ask if they limit the amount of people selling the same items. If they say no then I don't do the shows. If they limit to no more then three then I'll do the show. I think anymore then three people is entirely too much

There are always other bow sellers. Thankfully, I do mostly ribbon sculptures and there isn't really anyone else in my area that does them. So far it hasn't affected my sales.

I agree Of all the shows I've been to, no one seems to sell exactly the same thing as I do. Everyone prefers to make different types of things, and there's only so much space in a booth

Great insights! What do you consider a small show? The one I'm looking at doing is like 20-30 booths. I'm assuming that's small.

What about when the competition comes to your booth and starts asking you questions ... Yikes!

I hate that! I smile and try to be nice and mostly vague with my answers...lol. I dont mind being friendly and trying to get to know someone, but when they start asking avout my product or display then i get a little uneasy.
