Default Question about clip placement

I just finished making a three-flower cluster (two handmade ones and one shabby chiffon), which, being such a good little student, I have backed with felt. I'm going to be attaching it to a covered alli clip.

I don't want the pinch part of the clip to show. Is it ok to have the entire clip underneath the cluster, as long as I put it where it's not going to be too difficult to pinch open? It would mean holding the cluster so that the bottom of the pinch part ("PP") and the top of the flower directly above the top of the PP are squeezed to open the clip. Ugh, I hope that made sense!

Thanks!

It should be if you don't put it directly in the center because then you would have one side that would stick up more than the other I think. Here's one I did a clip on I put it to the side but not to close to the edge where you could see it hth.

Thanks, Jess. What a pretty piece! Where exactly is the clip? I'm guessing tucked in between the white flower and the black one to the right of it?
