Default Just made my first big boutique bow!

Wow they are alot of work but so worth it. I made the big bow with the spikes and the loops surrounding the smalling inner bow. I sent a pic to a friend out of state to show her and she actually ordered a custom one. So now Im shipping it off tomorrow and my question is do I spray it with starch? I plan on putting it in a large ziploc bag with air to protect it. But what about spraying it with starch? Sorry for all my rambling Im just excited i got another orderThanks!

Congrats on your first OTT BB! If you are going to starch it, you need to starch each layer individually, then assemble it. If you try to starch it after you have it altogether, it will take an eternity to dry, and it's harder to make all the pieces lay correctly.

Ok thanks! I think I'm gonna pass on the starching since I already assembled it.

If you want to add a little stiffness after it's put together, you can also use hairspray.

You can also use stiffen stuff to help the bow hold its shape. I usually spray it on after ive put the bow together and it usually holds pretty well. You can buy it at Michaels or hobby lobby . Hth

congrats. Your bow it very cute. and with that style of bow, I think that it would be ok not to starch it. Just don't squish it into a to small package.
