Question Help!

Hi ladies -

I am making tutu dresses for my nieces for a wedding this summer and have finally figured out all the parts of the dresses, but now I am completely stumped as to where to start on hair wreaths for the girls.

Does anyone know of any tutorials for help making these? What type of wire (or something else?) should I use as the base?

Here are a couple of photos that I gathered that show some styles I liked... as long as my finished products look remotely close to any of these I'll be thrilled! I do like the smaller sized flowers for a dainty look, especially since the girls wearing them are 3 & 5.
