Default Embroider Beach Towel

Ok so I am getting ready to embroider my 1st beach towel for my ds for our upcoming vacation. Somebody feel free to give me some tips/how-tos. I bought the solvy wash away stabilizer is that what I should use? On top and bottom of applique? I tried using that on a shirt with minky one time and I just could NEVER get the "gunk" to come off! I even threw the shirt in washer and I don't wanna ruin the towel, am I just doing something wrong?

I would test on a small item like a washcloth first...just to make sure you have everything right...from what I have read, use stabalizer on the bottom, and the water-soluble on top

I hoop a light to medium weight tear away, use 505 spray and stick my towel on top of that, then use a light weight solvy on top. If you use the light weight you can just use your embroidery scissors and pull it off instead of submerging it in water. Hope this helps
