Ok, ladies... This is where I need some advice!! I've never done the bottle caps, so I'm clueless when it comes to resin - where would you all suggest starting from to get a resin starter kit, and some charms for the paracord bracelets??

I've searched everywhere for wholesale charms, and you can't find those things for less than $9!!

Also, how do you size down images like under armor, nike, and browning to use in them?

This is my very first boy project everrrr!! I'm super excited, and if nothing else look forward to doing these just for my son and his buds!!

I'm going to search the forums now, but would really appreciate any how to's you guys may have!!

Michaels has a resin starter kit. It's pretty simple, just have to follow directions to the letter to avoid bubbles. However, it's full of warnings about how dangerous the fumes are. That was enough to deter me from doing it more than once.

I haven't done resins either, but if you are looking for something non-toxic, this might work.

http://ooakartistemporium.com/Adhesives.html

Check out the Magic Glos UV Dimensional adhesive. From what I understand, it can be cured either with a UV light or even just in sunlight. This might be something you can try. Also, the DG3 is a dimensional gel that some people use when make a cabochon, but I'm thinking the Magic Glos would be harder once its cured. The lady who owns the store in the link above is awesome and her customer service is great! I've been shopping there for a few years now.

Like I said, I've never played with resin, mainly because I don't want to deal with fumes too, so I'd probably give this a try if I was wanting to make some. I have DG3, but I've never used it for something like this so Idk how it would do. It's great stuff tho.

Hope this helps!

Also, you might want to try Inkssentials Glossy Accents 3D Gloss Medium. My understanding is that it dries harder than DG3, plus the DG3 is in short supply right now. It's on the same page as the link I posted.

Thanks so much guys!! I found some epoxy resin stickers on Etsy here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/NaNasCraftC...ef=seller_info

I've asked a couple of the para bracelet Etsy shops (and the owner of nanas-link above) about the resin stickers, and they all tell me they get good results using them. I'm going to try the sticker kind first because I'm also wary of fumes, mess, and bubbles. Plus I have two toddlers that are in to EVERYTHING, and I see the stickers as way less harmful than resins and all of the mixing and spilling that could go along with it!

Has anyone else tried the epoxy resin stickers??? What's your take on them?

Yes! I would be very interested, but I would also have to know what the min. would be. I would also be interested in finding a punch in that shape and size. How long does a group buy take? I have never taken part in one, so you would have to walk me through it (sometimes I need baby steps to guide me)!

I am having trouble finding a place that will sale them cheap. I bought some blank ones but I'm not sure how to do the pictures. I am new to the charms but I do the paracord bracelets already. I paid $10 a pair for the sports charms that I just ordered and if I can find out how to make the custom ones I will do them myself. Any help on how to make the custom pictures?

I have done some research and would be willing to run a GB on these if there was enough interest. I can get the charm with the epoxy sticker for about $1.10. They come square or oval. You would then put your own image in. Other costs would be pp and shipping to you.

Who would be interested? Please leave an amount that you think you would order because the min is high.

If we get enough interest, I'll open a buy. You can check my feedback here. I have run quite a few buys and they have all been sucessful.

Thanks.

Nope. As long as we meet the min to order as a group, individuals can order as many or as few as they want.
