Default bows

What do you use to hold your bows together wire, glue, or thread? What kind do you use?

I learned how to make bows with wire but once I tried a needle and tread I like it better. When I use wire I could not get a good hold on the wire when I would twist it. I could not get the 3/8 inch riboon tight enough when I made baby bows. Plus when I would cut the wire sometimes I got little bits of wire that would fall on the floor. I would step on them it hurt pretty bad. It was hard to get out of my foot as well. I was afraid my kids would step on them. I use regular sewing thread, doubled up.

I use either dental floss or upholstery thread. Just depends on my mood & whether I want to thread a needle or not.

I first learned by using wire. Then I moved on to using elastic thread. Then one day I tried needle and thread and I have not looked back since.

I use button/carpet thread. I've never used wire, I did try the elastic and went with it for a while but my little girl would end up messing up the bow. With sewing the bow the loops stay put.

Sometimes I use wire and other times I use thread and needle. It just depends which I think is easier.
