a needle and button/craft thread. It's thicker.

I find that this creates great creases without having to crease it yourself and holds the loops in place really well.

I started with floral wire but I could not cinch the centers tight enough. Then I used elastic thread but it would bust on me because I was pulling so tight. Next I used those zip ties and those are the best in my opinion but the part that locks it leaves a bump in the center and the bow would not sit right.
Last I have startedusing needle and upholstery thread and so far I have been sticking with this. It is very strong and I know that the bow is definately put together.

I like elastic thread. I'm not so talented with the needle and thread!

I use mostly wire. I sometimes use elastic thread for my spikes. But I like wire cause I can get it really really tight and thread always breaks on me. I can also get it flatter so that my stacked bows are not SOOO think in the middle. Also, I HATE threading a needle... well not so much threading it, an knotting hte thread!!!

I use thread and a needle. I've never tried any other way.
