Default Have you made any ribbon shirts ?

I know around the holidays they get REALLY popular ?
So have you made any before ?? How many ribbons do you put on your shirt ?? 2 , 3 ??
Im thinking about making some onesies like the ribbon shirts for my new girlie in october
how do you make them ? I sew the ribbon on and tuck the little ends in and sew over it.
I usually use 2 contrasting ribbons kat

I've never even seen these, do you have a pic?
That sounds like something really cute to do.

Those are cool. Yea if I were to make one I think I would just tuck then ends in and sew around the edges. I just might have to try that on a shirt for my daughter.

Yeah some people do 2-3 rows of ribbons across the front, esp using holiday ones. Kat

I have a hard time sewing straight so this might not be a great idea for me, but I'll try it anyway. LOL

And I like the shirt in this eBay auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...8728&rd=1&rd=1

I don't think I'm capable to make one like that. I can't sew. My question is: is it possible to glue the ribbon on the shirt? I bought the Dora cotton fabric from Walmart and glue it on my DD's blanket and it works fine. I machine wash it every week.

I'm pretty sure you could clue it. My SIL had got some ribbon from me to trim some totes with and she just glued it and it worked fine.
BTW that set from Ebay is super cute!

HI , What about getting some type of iron-on reinforcing stuff (what's it called again?) and iron it in between the ribbon and shirt? of course cut the stuff the length and width of the ribbon.
Thanks,
Gen
LOL... iron-on interfacing is the name of the stuff :O)
