Default Pony O's question...

This morning, I watched a youtube and the person used a TON of ribbon. She then used her sewing machine to sew through the middle of her stack, and then used a zip-tie. Anyone else do that? I can't understand how you can cover the zip-tie with a center knot, and it doesn't end up looking bumpy.

I've seen people do the zip tie thing but I personally don't like it. It is bulky IMO.

When making pony o's, I don't think there is a way to cover the zip tie and it not be bulky. I use the zip ties on cheer bows since they are larger and they cover the bulk just fine. I just use thread to secure the pony o's, and it works great! Good luck

Only way I do my pony-o's is with zip ties. I put it in the back, not directly in the center, but off to one side, then melt it with my woodburner. on kind of a slant and the ribbon covers it - I make sure to glue it down the sides of the tie bump - but goes sooooooo much faster and I cannot pull out the ribbon at all! Trust me - I 've tried!!!

Just put the bump part on the back side of the pony o...It will be covered with ribbon and it is such a small bump won't even be an issue once the pony is in the hair.

I just hand sew my ribbon onto the pony tail holder and up through the middle at the end. Does that make sense??
