Default Will crochet tops fit a six yr old?

A customer wants one for a six yr. old I know you can put two together to make them wider but are they long enough for that age. She is also going to be wearing a leotard under it too.

It didn't fit my petite 7yr old when I tried it. I sewed two of the large 9" together

Yes the huge 9" is long enough not sure which one you are using though.

You might be able to use 4pc to make a large one. The tutorial below uses 2 of the 3" headbands to make a 6" hat:

But I don't think ribbon is a good idea because it won't stretch well. Try the elastic thread instead:
