Default sixxiz felt ?

I finally have a sizzix and want to start using it to make some felt hair clips. I asked one of the associates at joanns when I bought if she has any tips for cutting felt she told me she never has and that you would need to use paper with it. I bought some felt wool by the yard to use. How does everyone use it with their sixxiz? Tia

You can cut felt and all kinds of fabric with the sizzix, but the key is which type of die you use. If you have the Sizzlets, they will only cut the very thinnest of fabrics, so they are probably only really good for paper. I use the Bigz and Originals dies and cut layers of felt, fleece & lots of other fabric. They cut great. They are a much sturdier die I guess. (I found out after purchasing a few of the Sizzlets, so hopefully you haven't bought too many of them yet) I absolutely love my sizzix though. Have fun with yours.
