Default Anyone know how to make this type of "shredded" satin flower?

I really love this type of flower and tried to make it today, but with no success. Has anyone made one like this before and have any tips they can offer? Or does anyone know of a tutorial for this?

Thanks so much!

My guess would be to take a long thin piece of satin (possibly more than one piece) and cut it like fringe. They also appear singed to me. Then cut a circle of felt... Starting from the outer edge spiral inward and glue down until you get to the center. I'm going to try it tomorrow. y

I was thinking of something similar. Maybe they are made like a pom pom, then singed and they get flattened when you add the center piece. Would love to know if anyone figures it out. They are very pretty.

In reference to the bridal sash, WOW! I think she hand singed each petal!! That would take ages. My "Glory" flower is similar but each petal is not hand singed for sure:

I was thinking that myself! What patience she has... it is worth every penny as she has put a lot of time into this piece.
