Default Mini Top Hat question

I know you can buy mini top hats wholesale, but does anybody know what material to use to make them?. I wanna try to make one just to see how it comes out. If you make your own, how well do they sell?

The only time I find it pays to make a mini top hat is when I am matching a specific outfit. Getting the curves correct and the top and brim to lay flat are more work than I wand to do! Just my opinion.

Where is a good place to pchase them at wholesale? I have never embellished a top hat before but i would like to try. When you buy them do they already have clips on them? If not how do you attatch it to a clip or a headband

Jozel made these two Top hats for the girls....and enjoyed every minute of it LOL! The black one has so much embellishment you cant even see the original hat!

I buy them from CR Craft's--they come in many colors and sizes. I sometimes use elastic cord for ease in wearing, sew combs on by hand or glue it to a headband. Mostly I just play until it looks right!

I haven't tried making one myself, but my guess is Jozel is correct.

You can get elastic cord in black or white in the notions department at fabric stores. It is heavier than elastic thread and will hold a hat on either under the wearer's hair or chin.
