Default Why am I struggling on a simple boutique style bow?

Can anyone give me any tips, or tricks to make my boutique bow look as loopy as everyone else's? I crease it down the middle after I get my loops and it always seems so lopsided. Ive been practicing for over a month. I figured I would get it by now. But, I keep going back to making clippies, so I don't get frustrated. Does anyone know of a good tutorial maybe that could help me? I'm more of a visual learner. I learned by making the figure 8 and going from there...help please!!

Id check out mommy crafts alot..she has a blog and youtube. Mainly it just takes practice. When you crease your bows do you sew them or tie them off? And also hairbow wonderworld blog, she is a member on here and has great tips.

It would also be easier to help if youd post a picture of your bow so we can see what the problems are.

DON'T GIVE UP! It took me awhile to get the hang of these and now I can whip one up in seconds.

When I first started making TBBs I thought they looked wrong, but the more practiced I get at it, I am coming to realise that a lot of the loopiness comes from shaping it once you've tied it. I can achieve the right look, but when I go back to the bow later, sometimes it has lost its shape. I have come to the conclusion that many of the really perfect bows I see have been stiffened, and I think that makes a big difference. Tomorrow I am heading to Wally World, and I'm going to look for Sta-Flo, because I really want my bows to "Sta!"

I hear you there! I have ( a few times) succeeded and made a cute bow but then feel like it lost it's "flavor!" I bought the sta- flo stiffen stuff, and the pump is clogged and I couldn't really tell a difference the few times I got to use it lol
